Muzart - School of Music and Art - Group Art Lessons (5 – 12 years old): Enjoy art in a fun group environment in these weekly 60 minute lessons. Beginner, or with some experience in art, group classes provide a comfortable and creative setting to develop artistic skills. Beginning with combinations of a few shapes to make simple pictures, students develop their confidence to make more complex objects. With further instruction the class explores aesthetics of portraiture and human form. Working in various media, such as colour pencil, oil pastel, water colour, and so on, budding artists come to apply their knowledge of colour. As knowledge and skill develops, more complex artistic aspects will be learned, such as movement, shadows and three dimensional shapes. The group component is enhanced by the experience of monthly collaborative projects, when all pupils work on a single art piece collectively. Though each class often focuses on a specific theme, each student is encouraged to explore their individuality, as they learn to express themselves through visual arts.Date : Anytime
