Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) : Sports & Seasonal Activities for Kids in Downtown

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) or The Ex as it is also known, is Canada’s largest annual community event. Taking place over the 18 days leading up to and including Labour Day, the CNE offers a wide variety of entertainment and events, midway rides and games, a working farm, parades and sports, international food and shopping, Kids’ World, and a three-day air show. Over the course of its late summer run, the CNE attracts approximately 1.3 million people each year (1.31 million in 2011).

    Taking place over the 18 days leading up to and including Labour Day, the CNE offers a wide variety of entertainment and events including Bandshell concerts, celebrity chef demonstrations, a dog show, a working farm, parades, and a three-day Air Show, all of which are free with admission to the CNE. Midway rides and games, wacky fair food, as well as international food and shopping are also popular highlights of this major Toronto event.

    he 65th annual Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) soars over Lake Ontario Labour Day weekend for another awe-inspiring performance. The 2014 display will feature amazing aerobatics and delight fans of all ages! This year's show will commemorate the CIAS's 65th Anniversary, as well as the 100th Anniversary of the Great War (WWI). Don't miss the special flying demonstration featuring six WWI aircrafts from the Great War Flying Museum.
