The Theatre School is a not for profit organization dedicated to enriching lives and developing skills. The school has been operating now since 1998 and has touched countless lives in this community through a multitude of classes, spectacular performances and the ongoing mentorship of our youth.? The variety of classes we offer welcomes people from ages 5 to adult to explore acting, singing, musical theatre, comedy improvisation and a variety of other related activities. Our instructors are dedicated theatre and education professionals who reach out to empower our participants. We have provided the theatrical landscape of our community with amazing productions such as LES MISERABLES, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOUR DREAMCOAT , BYE BYE BIRDIE, THE WIZARD OF OZ, WEST SIDE STORY, BLOOD BROTHERS and SEUSSICAL Junior. In our many classes we help students develop skills and then they have the opportunity to apply these skills in a continued learning environment with our young companies and other performance opportunities. Our programming is extensive so as to provide great opportunities for our students. We are also often used as a resource for television, film and theatre projects. COURSES OFFERED ? Comedy Improv for Teens (12-17) ? Music theatre/Vocal performance (Junior and Senior Levels) ? Music Theory (12+) ? Piano Lessons (beginner to advanced) ? Audition Class (Teens & Adults) ? Acting Classes for Kids to Adults ? Vocal Lessons for all levels The School of Theatre also offers a Creative Kids Course to develop creativity and imagination in our children! Through the art of abstraction children will learn to express themselves with various mixed media, craft and design materials. Fun and new experiences will be shared by all. For detailed information on all our courses, please visit our website. SUMMER CAMP The Theatre School offers ?One Week Theatre Arts Camps? led by Professional Staff. This is a dynamic week of intensive theatre instruction including classes in Acting, Voice and Movement for ages 7 to 17. The camp operates daily from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday. Extended care is available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for an extra cost of $30.00 per week, per child. Friday Afternoon Showcase - free admission. We also have Fun Theme Days. Lunch not provided.
