Welcome to Artist’s Inbloom, a performance camp “where every bud blooms in the spotlight”. PURPOSE: Our main purpose is to enhance a child's confidence and give them the opportunity to open up in a friendly and receptive environment. We want to allow children the chance to work creatively within a group and to express themselves as individuals. Our hope is to discover their natural talents and abilities, help them develop, and assist in using their individual gifts in an uncompetitive setting. Children will be introduced and be given the opportunity to explore basic and advanced elements of performance art in and open and fun filled environment. Elements that we will be looking at...ACTING: scene studies, monologue preparation and presentation, drama games, improvisational games, Shakespeare, character development, and commedia del arte. MUSIC: Rhythm and percussion, singing: choral and solos, music theatre performance ( group song for girls, group song for boys, and group song for boys and girls). DANCE: Choreographed pieces in different dance styles: Hip hop, music theatre, jazz, yoga and expressive movement. ART AND DESIGN: Set and scenic design, backdrop painting, costume design and abstract art. CRAFTS: Puppet making and mask making or scenic painting.
