ACTING OUT! Kids Theatre offers year round classes, Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer with additional workshops, including our Holiday Wishes & March Break Madness. Classes are offered for all ages and levels of acting experience and ability. Classes take place during the week, directly after school, beginning at 4pm. Most sessions run a period of 7 weeks and end with a Parent Presentation. Emphasis is placed on group ensemble and developing the skills necessary in working together to achieve one collective goal, as well as the development of one's own personal aspirations. The younger actors are encouraged to share and embrace their creative expression, while building their self confidence. The children experience a range of theatre games, improvisation, dramatic scenes, movement, voice, dance and dress-up fun! Our Grade 7/8 Conservatory students delve into the basics of acting technique, learning practical skills for performance. Students are guided through ensemble work, collective creation exercises and character development with the focus on opening themselves up and sharing in the creative process. A final production, created by the class, is presented in the Spring!
