Passport to adventure: Montreal, Vancouver ... Granby!

Climb aboard various train cars for a thrilling adventure and see how the level comfort evolved from 1880 to 1960. Used by the President of CP Rail, the Saskatchewan car is closely linked to the completion of the 1st transcontinental railway in Canada. This house on rails is reminiscent of the splendor of 19th century luxury. The Neville car was used by passengers traveling across the continent from Montreal to Vancouver. The many amenities of this 1st class car much were appreciated by travelers as well as by the hockey teams who used this car from 1920 to1960. Visitors will also be given access to Streetcar No. 611 which ran between Montreal and Granby. For the first half of the 20th century this streetcar was used by middle class city dwellers who wanted to get away to a simpler country life and still work in the city.Date : 2013-07-13 to 2013-07-14
