Saul-Bellow Library

Saul-Bellow Library was originally built in 1974 to the plans of architects Roux, Morin and Langlois of Lachine, and inaugurated on January 22, 1975 with Mayor Guy Descary and members of the municipal Council present. In 1980, a mezzanine, meeting room (Hopkins Room), depository and outdoor terrace (demolished in 1994) were added to the building. In June 1984, the Library changed its name, and from then on has been known as the Saul-Bellow Municipal Library in honour of the celebrated writer and 1976 Nobel Prize laureate. A project to enlarge and redevelop the facility is now underway and scheduled for completion in 2013.Date : Anytime

Saint-Pierre Library
Library > General
The Library of the former Ville Saint-Pierre, located at 111 Des Érables Street, was inaugurated November 15, 1966. Until 1976, volunteers worked to make the collection accessible to residents. Then from 1976 to 1979, the Library was closed to merge its collection with the school library. In July 1984, the Library was moved to its present location, and these facilities were remodeled in 1990 and again in 2006.Date : Anytime
